IJCE employs a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. The entire process consists of four steps:
The editor-in-chief consults with the editorial board to assess the relevance of the submitted paper to the journal's aims and scope. If the paper is found to be irrelevant, improperly formatted, or written in poor English, the corresponding author will be notified to revise and resubmit the manuscript. If the paper meets the initial criteria, it proceeds to the peer review process.
Note: The uploaded file must conform to IJCE formatting criteria, and figures and tables must be of high quality. For more details, please refer to the "Guide for Authors" section on the IJCE website.
The manuscript is then sent to tow anonymous reviewers. Reviewers are asked to confirm their willingness to review the paper through the journal's site. Upon agreement, reviewers are expected to evaluate the manuscript and submit their comments within a specified timeframe.
After the peer review is complete, a review report based on the reviewers' comments is sent to the authors. Authors are required to revise their manuscript accordingly and provide a report addressing the reviewers' questions and comments. The revised manuscript is then sent back to the same reviewers for further evaluation. This process continues until the reviewers are satisfied with the revisions.
The editorial board makes the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Authors are then informed of the outcome.
